Cheryl & Garry Tilton have owned Gilligan’s since July 2002. When Cheryl left the mortgage business after 18 years, she decided it was time for a change. Owning a restaurant seemed like a fun thing to do...at the time! Having never worked in a restaurant, it was a challenging endeavor for both. Today, Cheryl works in the daily running of the business in addition to making her famous crab cakes and all desserts.

Garry offers support while continuing to run Tilton Construction, a local firm. Through both of their hard work and dedication, Gilligan’s has become a local favorite as well as a destination for many tourists.




Ryan, a Milton, DE local, graduated from Johnson & Wales in February 2000 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. He moved back from Norfolk, VA to pick up where he left off as Sous Chef for the Second Street Grille. In April 2006, Betts joined the Gilligan’s team.
